UMAINE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ALUMNI RECEPTION
TRAIL TO ALE 10K
RECENT HIRES

The UMaine College of Engineering recently sponsored an Alumni Reception in Portland. Colby Co. co-sponsored of the reception with UMaine. Dr. Dana Humphrey, the Dean of Engineering, spoke about the latest engineering news and Calen Colby also spoke about how his UMaine education has positively impacted him.

The reception was served as a great way to connect with former classmates and current professionals. Colby Co. is proud to have eight UMaine College of Engineering grads!

Colby Co. employees recently ran in the Portland Trails’ 10th Annual Trail to Ale 10K. The race is a fundraiser for Portland Trails whose mission is to create and maintain a 50-mile network of trails in the Greater Portland area. The race path utilized the Portland Trail system with a start line on the Eastern Prom Trail and a lap around the Back Bay as part of the 10K.

Laura Clough, Sarah Emily Teaford and Calen Colby ran as part of an 11-person team. The remainder of the team was made up of Gorham Savings Bank employees. The team won First Place in the Open Team Division. There were over 900 participants in this year’s race.

Colby Co.’s newest additions include:

Matthew Lyle
Matt is the newest addition to Colby Co.’s electrical engineering department. He brings seven years of experience with low, medium and high voltage electrical design for industrial facilities, new and existing buildings. Matt graduated from the University of Maine’s Electrical Engineering program. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Matt also plays flag football through Casco Bay Sports.

Adam Greenlaw
Adam recently joined Colby Co.’s structural engineering department. Adam, a Maine native, has worked in Rhode Island and in Maine for consulting engineering firms. His experience includes structural modeling and design he is a registered Engineering Intern. Adam graduated from the University of Maine’s Civil Engineering program with an emphasis on structures. Adam plays intramural basketball and volleyball in his spare time.
